bangui

NOTE: Bangui is a term used for people who are ultra-conceited. Bangui actually is where the first windmills in the country are, which generates enough power from the WIND intended for the town.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Three surgeons were discussing which one was the most skilled.

The first surgeon, by the name of tutut, said that a man had fallen across the railroad tracks, and a train had severed both legs just above the knees. After my surgery and physical therapy, that man won this year's Boston Marathon. Bangui number 1 anlakas ng hangin, 160 kph!!!!!

The second surgeon, si tutut # 2, said that was nothing. A woman had been thrown head first through the windshield of a car and her face was sliced to ribbons. After my surgery she won the Miss America contest.

The third surgeon, syempre si utoy, said that was nothing. A man had been sucked into the air intake of a jet engine. The only thing that was recovered was a tiny piece of brain matter no larger than a pea. From that piece, I, the surgeon reconstructed the entire man, and now he is president of the United States.

Ah Cheng Buey Ro Ti

Once upon a time, a group of Ah Bengs stepped into a lounge and wanted the DJ to play the song "Ah Cheng Buey Ro Ti" (In Hokkien meaning Ah Cheng buys bread)

The DJ told them that they only have English songs and told them to re-select another song. The Ah Bengs were indignant and kicked up a big fuss, claiming that the DJ was insulting them. The manager had to intervene in order to calm them down. Finally, after many hours of talking, the manager managed to find out that the Ah Bengs were actually asking for the song "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers.

real tragedy

The real tragedy for a Christian starts when he can no longer see Jesus in his life; when because of lukewarmness or sin or pride, the horizon becomes clouded over; when things are done as if Jesus were not by his side, as if the Lord had never risen from the dead.

timo

wise is the person

who knows what to say

and when to say it.......

there are some silent people

whose praises should be sung;

they preach a mighty sermon

by guarding well their tongue......

not what we have,

but what we use,

not what we see,

but what we choose -

these are the things

that mar or bless

the sum of human happiness....

green-minded

my closest friends told me i'm now "bastos" or "green" or "blasphemous"

they thought i've been like this because :

1. i havent done it for so long - you know what i mean. and i detest that hehehe. 2. when i was so sick, i was too behaved; now craps are overflowing and they need to get out of my system - these buddies of mine are rotten hehehe. 3. ive got foreigner friends and being green (minded that is) is the only thing that could make them laugh - pare, nosebleed sa English!!!

Well, i cant argue on some things they said, but in my world,

1. i think i am not sinning by being green for i don't do things which are out of HIS league (errrrr...sometimes). I even mutter when a woman is around or speak my mind initially before my tongue does its works. 2. i am totally behaved when i'm with other people 'side from my buddies. this is not really to show off that i am a "good" person, "but friends are friends" and "other people are other people." i respect their turf and i can adapt to any situation if one obliges me.

i'm not that perfect whom GOD can nurse on HIS crib but:

1. i (always) think of people before i blurt out things so as not to hurt them 2. always say my apologies if i did offend them esp friends 3. i try not to be blasphemous, if so, i confess (this is true) before the day ends 4. i havent hurt people with the things i came up with (as far as i know; this started when i received a colossal grace from HIM last year)

If I did hurt people, SORRY guys. Didnt mean to do so.

anilao, batangas

Only 140 km south of Manila, Anilao's proximity makes it a popular destination for weekend diving trips. Even excursions are ideal in this southern town where resorts are situated within short boat rides to excellent dive sites. Diving is mainly in coral slopes and shallow gardens among sandy patches. Choose from any of the 24 dive sites between the coast of Anilao and Maricaban Island. The most popular site is the Cathedral (average of 60 ft.), a roofless cavern with a blessed cross flanked by two large sea mounts. Ideal diving season is from November until May.

Due to its proximity to Manila, Anilao is frequented by weekend divers and day trippers. One simply has to take 2 to 2 1/2 hour land trip to Anilao from Manila. There are daily buses that run from Pasay City to Batangas, after which you may take a jeepney to Anilao. It is advisable to get yourself a car or have one arranged for you as Anilao is somewhat out of the way for most of the jeepneys.

I was in Planet Dive a year ago and the roads are bad, I mean really bad. This year when I went there, it is totally different. Roads are paved and more resorts are mushrooming which is good for revelers here and abroad. Prices are now competitive unlike in previous years.
Should you want to visit the area, it is better to negotiate instead with the boat owners especially if you already have the gears for diving. Several premiums are added on resort packages that eventually risks your dollars. Nonetheless, compared to other dive sites in the country, Anilao is for beginners who could only afford to have 1-2 day spree. But if you have a week or two, better check out the other dive sites in the country.
